About Us |
|
The Warren Area Lacrosse Association is a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to establish, develop and promote youth lacrosse in the Warren Township area of northern Illinois. The Association is dedicated to fostering the development and growth of boys and girls lacrosse to all youth grades K-12. Our exclusive role is to establish lacrosse teams at Warren Township High School and to create youth programs affiliated with area elementary, intermediate and middle schools. The Association will actively promote year-round participation in lacrosse camps, lacrosse leagues and lacrosse teams to youth from all backgrounds in the Warren Township area by working closely with area schools, schools administrators, teachers and park districts to promote and financially support the growth of the sport within the community. One of the goals of the Association is to financially offset any costs associated with establishing and maintaining teams. The Association will conduct not-for-profit fundraising activities to financially support the development and growth of youth lacrosse in Warren Township. Funding for the program will also come from player participation fees and any grants that are available. The Association plans to establish a scholarship program to help make lacrosse available to underprivileged youth. The Association will work closely with other organizations and established lacrosse programs in the area to seek knowledge, enlist support, and utilize existing resources to ensure continued program success. At no time will any Director or committee member of the Association receive compensation for their time or talents nor will they accept any gifts of any kind for their time or efforts involved in promoting lacrosse. |
